    Learn how to make my beautiful signature sugar rose and foliage.

    The tutorial is broken down into step by step, easy to follow videos, so you can work at your own pace and rewatch whenever you like. The tutorial is suitable for all abilities, whether you are a complete novice or a more experienced cake designer wanting to take your sugar flowers to another level.

    You will learn:

    • the tools and materials you’ll need
    • how to work with flowerpaste to create delicate and realistic petals and leaves
    • how to securely wire the rose
    • how to use flower and leaf veiners
    • how to use edible dusts to create a natural effect
    • how to tape and assemble the rose and leaves

  • Wafer Paper Flowers Class – 9th September 2023

    Learn how to make beautiful wafer paper flowers, with guest tutor Sian Forward-Martin of That Little Cake Place.

    What will I learn?

    You will learn Sian’s signature techniques and personal tips on how to create beautiful, realistic wafer paper flowers.  You will learn:

    • which liquid to use to condition your wafer paper
    • how to condition and shape your wafer paper to create realistic looking petals
    • the tools and equipment used by Sian and where to get them from
    • how to make centres and stamens out of wafer paper

    You will make a fluffy peony, cosmos, anemone and foliage.

    Techniques taught in this class can be applied to other flowers.

    The class is suitable for all abilities.

    The class will have a maximum of 6 students, which ensures lots of individual attention and plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

    The class includes everything you will need, including apron, equipment and materials and a box to take home your flowers.
    A light lunch is included and refreshments are available throughout the day.

    Cost:  £240 (including VAT)

    Payment:  £100 deposit is required to secure a place at the class.  You will be invoiced for the remaining balance of £140, one month before the class date. Full payment to have been made prior to the course.

    The class is held in our lovely studio in Whaley Bridge in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak district.  We are 2 minutes from Whaley Bridge railway station and 45 minutes from Manchester Airport.  There’s lot of accommodation available locally, should you wish to stay overnight or combine with a short break in the Peak District.  We are happy to provide advice on accommodation and transfers.

    Cake Selection will be:

  • Wedding Cake Masterclass 7th-8th June 2023

    Create a beautiful 3 tier wedding cake with textured stone effect, sugar flowers and foliage at this intensive 2 day class.

    You will work with dummy cakes and learn how to:

    • Create a textured stone effect
    • Cover a square and a round tier and learn how to enhance the stone effect with edible dusts and stencilling.
    • Create a moulded monogram and apply to a pre-covered dummy cake.
    • Make 2 beautiful wired heirloom roses, rose leaves, ivy and twigs. Dust, tape and assemble the flowers and learn how to arrange them on the cake.
    • Learn about dowelling and stacking.
    • Lots of professional tips for working with wedding cakes, including delivery and set-up.
    • Finally you will take home your beautifully decorated cake to impress your clients and use as a display cake.

    The class will have a maximum of 4 students, which ensures lots of individual attention and plenty of opportunity to ask questions.  This is an intensive class and some previous experience of cake decorating/sugarcraft is helpful.

    The class includes everything you will need, including apron, equipment and materials and a box to take your cake home in.
    A light lunch is included and refreshments are available throughout the day.

    We are currently unable to post to Highlands and Islands.

    Due to high demand and to ensure that all our current orders can be processed, our next posting date will be Wednesday 12th May. Please make sure your order is received by 12 noon on Monday, at the latest.  Thank you for your support and understanding.

    An extra special gift of our delicious cake, with lashings of filling, beautifully presented in a glass jar, with a personalised message.  They even come with a couple of wooden spoons, so you can dig straight in!

    Your cake jars will stay fresh for 7 days from receipt, stored unopened in a fridge.  We recommend bringing to room temperature before eating.

    Allergen information – Our cake jars contain cereals containing gluten, eggs, milk, nuts, peanut, soya

    How do I order? – Choose either 2 or 4 cake jars and select from a range of flavours.  Request your preferred delivery date and add your personalised message.

    We will use either Royal Mail First Class Signed for service, or courier next day service.  All carriers are experiencing delays within their service at the moment, so please allow a little extra time for your order to arrive.

    We are very proud of our delicious handmade Brownies which can be posted to most parts of the UK.   • Cake Foundations – Ganache and Sharp Edges – 20th May 2023

    Do you want to learn how to get those perfect sharp edges and flawless finish on your cakes?  This full day class will give you the foundations to be able to decorate beautiful cakes. It’s a hands on class where Linda will teach you how to prepare, ganache and cover a real cake to achieve a professional finish.

    You will learn how to:

    • Make chocolate ganache using the correct ratios
    • Level, fill and ganache a 6” sponge cake
    • Cover the cake with sugarpaste to achieve a smooth professional finish and the much sought after sharp edges
    • Cover and crimp a cake drum and mount the cake on the drum
    • Apply ribbon
    • Lots of hints and tips
    • If there is time we’ll also add some simple decoration to the cake.
    • Finally you will take home your beautifully cake to impress your friends and family.

    The class includes everything you will need, including apron, equipment and materials and a box to take your cake home in.
    A light lunch is provided and refreshments are available throughout the day.

    Suitable for beginners or more experienced cakemakers wishing to improve their skills.
