After baking and decorating cakes for family and friends for many years, Linda established ButterCup Cakes in August 2010, working from home. The business has gone from strength to strength and in June 2013 we relocated the business to our lovely studio in Whaley Bridge, in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District.
Linda has a real passion for creating bespoke cakes for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings - in fact any occasion. We pride ourselves on making cakes that not only look good but taste good too. We bake all our cakes from scratch, using the finest ingredients (fair trade whenever possible) and locally produced free range eggs. We would be delighted to provide for those with special dietary requirements.
We are honoured to have made cakes for the BBC including the 30th birthday cake for BBC Breakfast time and have also made sugarpaste novelties for Spice Girl Gerrie Halliwell.
Linda loves to pass on her knowledge of baking and decorating and offers group and private 1:1 tuition, with a variety of classes for all levels. For further information on classes please click here.
